Service Information

Whoosh Care provides

Morning care: 7:00am-8.30am (at which time teachers are on duty on the playground to supervise students)

After school care: 3.00pm to 6:00pm

Holiday Care: 7:30am- 6:00pm children from Bourke St PS and other local schools are welcome.

Christmas Closure dates: Please check Whoosh website for holiday closures.

Girls and Boys brigade

Another after school care service provider for our school is The Girls and Boys Brigade. This service operates off-site in walking distance to the school, on Riley Street. In addition to after school care, Girls and Boys Brigade provides homework program, vacation care, weekend activities including camps, family support and training programs, as well as a youth program. 

There is access criteria to gain enrolment to these programs which may be supported by a Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card or through a referral or financial assessment.

The service is available Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm. Each afternoon their staff escort the children from Bourke Street Public School to their facility on Riley Street.
