Use Department of Education school finder to see if you are in area for our school. Boukre Street is not a registered international school.
Out-of-area enrolment applications are considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to available places and department of education cirtiera.
To support class planning, we accept registrations of interest throughout the year for enrolment in the following year. Applications are assessed towards the end of Term 3 (September), after which selected families will be contacted to meet with our team. Families will be advised of the outcome in early Term 4 (late October).
Bourke Street Public School is a mainstream NSW public school. Our core work is teaching strong foundations in literacy and numeracy in general education classrooms. We welcome students with diverse learning needs and provide reasonable adjustments to support their participation.
For some children, a specialist setting may provide more appropriate support. Our team can work with families and the NSW Department of Education to explore suitable settings, available support and, where applicable, assisted school transport.

School contributions
In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether their family makes a contribution.
Many Bourke Street families contribute not only to their own child’s learning but also support other families in our community. This generosity extends to our P&C fundraising activities and the Bourke Street Public School Building Fund.

We offer open days, orientation days and school tours throughout the year to meet our friendly staff, explore our school facilities, and see what makes our school a great place to learn.
